PR Newswire
NEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2026
Report analyzes almost $1.7 billion in claim payments, an increase in severe losses, and continued growth in claims experience across the globe
NEW YORK, Nov. 2, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Euclid Transactional, LLC (“Euclid Transactional”), a leading managing general agency focused on transactional insurance underwriting and claims handling, today released its fourth annual Global Representations & Warranties/Warranty & Indemnity Insurance Claims Study. The report analyzes a decade of global claims data and offers insights into a rapidly changing transactional liability claims landscape.
The study breaks down almost $1.7 billion in claim payments made since Euclid Transactional’s founding in 2016, including $518 million paid and 72 payments since the period covered by the prior study. The study covers claims received and paid through June 30, 2026.
“Ten years ago, we set out to build an underwriting and claims handling platform that prioritizes a premium client experience,” said Jay Rittberg, CEO of Euclid Transactional. “This study shows what that commitment looks like in practice. As of the date of this study, our claims team has handled $1.7 billion in payments since our founding, and the data gives dealmakers a clear view of how well RWI can perform when it is needed most.”
Highlights from this year’s Global RWI Claims Study include:
- Severe losses on the rise: Payments of $20 million or more accounted for 54% of loss paid in the most recent period, up from 40% in prior years.
- Efficient resolutions: More than 73% of claim notices were resolved within 12 months, and more than 92% within 24 months. When Euclid Transactional was the primary insurer and controlled the claims process, first-party claims that resulted in payment were paid 40% faster than those where another party led the investigation.
- Concentration in Financial Statements and Customer & Contract claims: Financial Statements and Customer & Contract claims together represented 71% of loss paid in the most recent period.
- Continued growth in EMEA: EMEA claim notices grew from 20 in 2019 to 222 in the 12-month period ending June 30 of this year. EMEA loss paid rose 59% compared to the prior year.
“Our annual Claims Study offers timely insight into the state of the transactional insurance industry, which is in a period of critical change,” said Phil Casper, President at Euclid Transactional. “We share our intelligence so that buyers, sellers, and advisors can better understand the forces shaping the market from the underwriters’ perspective.”
